Ms. Byrd is a Deputy Counsel. Prior to joining the Office of the General Counsel in November 2018, she worked in private practice with three global law firms in Atlanta, Georgia, where she litigated complex business disputes.  She also is a trained mediator and arbitrator.  Ms. Byrd received her B.S. in Business/Marketing from Indiana University and her J.D., cum laude, from Wake Forest University School of Law, where she was awarded Order of the Coif.  Prior to law school, she worked in Ann Arbor, Michigan, as a pharmaceutical sales representative and director of marketing for a business-focused non-profit.
